Chloe Smith spoke at the University of East Anglia in December 2014 as part of the Politics@UEA open lecture series on the topic of ‘Why bother with politics and Parliament?’.

Chloe Smith is proud to be MP for Norwich North. She has served as a Minister in Her Majesty’s Treasury and at the Cabinet Office, as well as Government Whip, making her one of the youngest Ministers in British history. Chloe passionately leads the Norwich for Jobs campaign which aims to halve youth unemployment in Norwich in two years. She is currently working closely with local and national partners to promote youth engagement in politics. She is a member of the Commons Transport Select Committee and also campaigns hard for improved rail services in East Anglia. Chloe grew up in Norfolk and lives in Norwich. She went to comprehensive schools in West Norfolk, followed by York University, and she formerly worked for Deloitte. Chloe enjoys sports and the arts, and is married to Sandy.  She is an active charity volunteer and a patron and supporter of many Norwich and Norfolk organisations.
