European Elections 2014: Question Time with the Eastern region candidates

The University of East Anglia hosted a debate with some of the candidates (and sitting MEPs) for the European Elections 2014 in the Eastern region, UK.  The debate was recorded at EPIC Studios in Norwich by their crew, UEA Broadcast Journalism students and students from Howest in Belgium. Featuring a full panel of EU politicians from all parties; Stuart Agnew of UKIP; Andrew Duff of the Liberal Democrats; Vicki Ford of the Conservatives; Richard Howitt of Labour; Rupert Read of the Green Party and Petros Fassoulas, Head of the European Movement in the UK. It was presented by ITV’s Matthew Hudson with questions from European youth live from Norwich and Belgium.

The event was organised by Sea Media.

  1. Although the 2014 European elections are, I think, on 22nd May, I have no idea as to the candidates I can vote for and how I can access information about their aims and policies. I have not seen any information in the Press or received any leaflets or lobbying which would enable me to decide on how to vote.

    I would very much like to play a part by voting on what is undoubtedly a very important process which could have a bearing on our relationship with Europe and thereby, the United Kingdom’s future prosperity. The vote would need to be well informed which I fear, will not be. if the low turnout experienced in last years Police and Crime Commissioners elections is repeated (14 percent)!

    Can you please inform the electorate as to how this information can be circulated well before the elections take place
